When Dr. Beth Stewart talks about the most important things in education it centers on what is best for the students and how to best prepare them for their future. Coming from a family of educators, Beth's commitment to helping all students succeed is evident in everything she does—from working with students one-on-one to training thousands of fellow teachers as well as the community. Beth walks into her job every day with the mantra technology is just like using a pencil—it should be that easy and comfortable.

Beth started teaching special education on the elementary level but soon found herself in secondary. She earned a Bachelor degree from the University of Central Arkansas where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Special Education. Beth quickly learned the ropes of teaching students with disabilities both in the elementary and on the high school level.

Beth soon found herself teaching technology in-services for Dawson Education Services Cooperative in the summer. Then went on from teaching technology courses to teachers and preschool students back to the traditional classroom where she taught 5th grade in Arkadelphia. At that time, Beth had the confidence and experience to be an educational leader of change. Finishing her Masters in Educational Leadership, at Henderson State University, Beth took a job the High School principal at Ouachita High School. Upon completion of her specialist degree she was offered a position with South Conway County first as School Improvement Specialist and later as Assistant Superintendent. Once she completed her doctorate she was offered a position within the North Little Rock School District where she now serves as Deputy Superintendent.

As the Deputy Superintendent at North Little Rock School District, Beth strives to bring awareness to assisting students find their passion. She believes that if we can help students find their career passion then all educators can bring relevance to learning, which will create a more exciting environment.
